โครงงานเรื่อง ศึกษาการปรับสภาพดินเปรี้ยวด้วยสารแคลเซียมไฮดรอกไซด์ที่ได้จากเปลือกไข่ไก่
จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อศึกษาวิธีการปรับสภาพความเป็นกรดของดินที่มีผลต่อการทำการเกษตรกรรมและเปรียบเทียบการปรับสภาพความเป็นกรดระหว่างดินเปรี้ยวกับดินเปรี้ยวที่ใส่สารแคลเซียมไฮดรอกไซด์ เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาทางเศรษฐกิจ โดยการนำเปลือกไข่ไก่ที่เหลือจากการบริโภคมาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ โดยคณะผู้จัดทำได้ศึกษางานวิจัยฉบับหนึ่ง ซึ่งมีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับสารแคลเซียมคาร์บอเนตในเปลือกไข่ไก่ และงานวิจัยการทำปฏิกิริยาเคมีของสารแคลเซียมคาร์บอเนต(หินปูน) ที่เปลี่ยนแปลงเป็น สารแคลเซียมไฮดรอกไซต์(ปูนขาว) โดยที่สารแคลเซียมคาร์บอเนตมีสมบัติเป็นเบส และสามารถปรับเปลี่ยนค่าpHที่เป็นกรดของดินได้ โดยที่เราจะนำเปลือกไข่ไก่มาสกัดสารแคลเซียมไฮดรอกไซต์โดยการนำเปลือกไข่ไก่มาบดแล้วนำไปเผาจนแห้ง จากนั้นผสมน้ำแล้วนำไประเหยแห้งจนเหลือแต่ สารแคลเซียมไฮดรอกไซต์ หลังจากนั้นก็นำไปทดลองโดยการนำไปผสมกับดินที่มีค่าความเป็นกรดเพื่อลดค่าpHของดินให้มีค่าที่เหมาะสมต่อการทำการเกษตรกรรม
