ปัจจุบันเข้าสู่ยุคโลกาภิวัฒน์ มีการพัฒนาจากอดีตหลายด้านโดยเฉพาะเรื่องการติดต่อสื่อสารทางไกลและการคมนาคมที่สะดวกรวดเร็ว สามารถติดต่อสื่อสารกันได้ทั่วโลก ภาษากลางที่ใช้ในการสื่อสารหรือภาษาสากลที่ใช้ คือ ภาษาอังกฤษ อีกทั้งภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้เป็นประเทศกำลังพัฒนาอยู่หลายประเทศและยังเป็นคู่ค้าสำคัญทวีปอื่นๆของโลก จึงมีการรวมกลุ่มทางเศรษฐกิจเป็นประชาคมเศรษฐกิจอาเซียน หรืออาเซียน ทำให้เรื่องภาษาที่ใช่สื่อสารกันเป็นเรื่องสำคัญ และภาษาที่เลือกใช้คือภาษาอังกฤษหรือภาษาของประเทศนั้นๆ
ทางคณะผู้จัดทำจึงได้จัดทำแบบสำรวจเพื่อสำรวจการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศตามความสนใจของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามเช่น ภาษาอังกฤษ ภาษาเกาหลี ภาษาญี่ปุ่น เป็นต้น ผ่านบทเพลงที่อยู่ในสื่อต่างๆที่อยู่ในปัจจุบันว่า มีการเรียนรู้และนำไปปรับใช้อย่างไร เช่น เรียนรู้คำศัพท์จากบทเพลง กลับไปศึกษาเนื้อเพลง เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมที่สื่อผ่านบทเพลง เป็นต้น โดยศึกษาเป็นระดับการศึกษา ได้แก่ ระดับประถมศึกษา มัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น มัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย และระดับอุดมศึกษา
