บ้านภูมิโปน ตำบลดม อำเภอสังขะ
การเดินทาง
จากจังหวัดสุรินทร์ ใช้ทางหลวงหมายเลข 2077 (สุรินทร์ - สังขะ) ระยะทาง 49 กิโลเมตร จากแยกอำเภอสังขะ เข้าทางหลวง หมายเลข 2124 (สังขะ - บัวเชด) ตรงต่อไป จนถึง ชุมชนบ้านภูมิโปน ระยะทางอีก 10 กิโลเมตร จะเห็นปราสาท ตั้งอยู่ริมถนน ด้านซ้ายมือ
ลักษณะปราสาท
ปราสาทภูมิโปน ประกอบด้วย โบราณสถาน 4 หลัง คือ ปราสาทก่ออิฐ 3 หลัง และศิลาแลง 1 หลัง มีอายุการก่อสร้าง อย่างน้อย 2 สมัย ปราสาทก่ออิฐหลังใหญ่ และหลังทางทิศเหนือสุด นับเป็นปราสาท แบบศิลปะเขมร ที่มีอายุเก่าที่สุด ในประเทศไทย คือราวพุทธศตวรรษที่ 13
ส่วนปราสาทอิฐหลังเล็ก ที่ตั้งตรงกลาง และปราสาทที่มีฐานศิลาแลง ด้านทิศใต้นั้น สร้างขึ้นในสมัย หลังปราสาทภูมิโปน คงจะสร้างขึ้น เป็นศาสนสถาน ในศาสนาฮินดู ไศวนิกาย เช่นเดียวกับศาสนสถานอื่นๆ ในรุ่นเดียวกัน แม้จะไม่พบ รูปเคารพ ซึ่งควรจะเป็นศิวลึงค์ อยู่ภายในองค์ปรางค์
แต่ที่ปรางค์องค์ใหญ่ยังมี ท่อโสมสูตร คือ ท่อน้ำมนต์ ที่ต่อออกมา จากแท่นฐานรูปเคารพ ในห้องกลาง ติดอยู่ที่ผนังในระดับพื้นห้อง
