หลักสูตรแพทยศาสตรบัณฑิต  จัดการเรียนรู้แบบบูรณาการความรู้หลายสาขาวิชา  โดยมุ่งหวังให้ผู้เรียนสามารถคิดและวิเคราะห์อย่างเป็นระบบ มีความใฝ่รู้ เรียนรู้ได้ด้วยตนเองอย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจสำคัญของความเป็นแพทย์  ที่ต้องติดตามความก้าวหน้าทางวิทยาการและเทคโนโลยี เพื่อมาประยุกต์ใช้ในวิชาชีพแพทย์ได้ตลอดชีวิต

นักศึกษาแพทย์รามาธิบดีจะได้รับการส่งเสริมให้เป็นผู้นำและทำงานเป็นทีมอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ  มีทักษะในการติดต่อสื่อสารและมนุษยสัมพันธ์ที่ดี เป็นแพทย์ที่มีคุณธรรม จริยธรรมที่เหมาะสม ดำรงชีวิตอย่างมีความสุขและประสบความสำเร็จในวิชาชีพเป็นประโยชน์ต่อสังคมโดยรวม

เนื้อหาของหลักสูตร
การเรียนตลอดหลักสูตรของนักศึกษาแพทย์รามาธิบดี  ใช้เวลา6 ปี รวมจำนวน 253 หน่วยกิต แบ่งเนื้อหาการเรียนออกเป็น 3 ช่วง และเสริมด้วยวิชาเลือก คือ
ปีที่ 1  หมวดวิชาศึกษาทั่วไป  กลุ่มวิชาคณิตศาสตร์  วิทยาศาสตร์ มนุษยศาสตร์  สังคมศาสตร์ ศิลปศาสตร์ การศึกษาทั่วไปเพื่อการพัฒนามนุษย์ ภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาไทย

ชั้นปรีคลินิก ปีที่ 2 และ 3  ศึกษาการทำงานของร่างกายมนุษย์ในภาวะปกติและเมื่อเป็นโรคต่างๆ โดยบูรณาการความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ การแพทย์พื้นฐาน เช่น กายวิภาคศาสตร์  สรีรวิทยา  จุลชีววิทยา เภสัชวิทยา  พยาธิวิทยา  และการเรียนวิชาบทนำเวชศาสตร์คลินิก เพื่อฝึกฝนการซักประวัติ และทักษะการตรวจร่างกายระบบต่างๆ ได้อย่างถูกขั้นตอน รวมทั้งฝึกหัตถการกับหุ่น

ชั้นคลินิก ปีที่ 4 ถึงปีที่ 6  เรียนรู้จากการปฏิบัติงานจริงในโรงพยาบาล ได้ร่วมเป็นหนึ่งในทีมดูแลผู้ป่วย  ศึกษาอาการและการรักษาโรคผ่านการฝึกทักษะกับอาจารย์แพทย์สาขาต่างๆ  การพูดคุยกับผู้ป่วย ฝึกงานในห้องคลอดและห้องผ่าตัด  เข้าค่ายทักษะชีวิต เพื่อเรียนรู้ตนเองและผู้อื่น  และฝึกปฏิบัติงานในโรงพยาบาลในเขตชุมชนและต่างจังหวัด
วิชาเลือกเสรี  เพื่อให้นักศึกษาเรียนรู้เพื่อพัฒนาตนเองทั้งด้านวิชาการ คุณธรรม  จริยธรรม  กีฬา  ตลอดจนศิลปวัฒนธรรม 
วิชาเลือกคลินิก  เพื่อเสริมประสบการณ์ในสาขาวิชาที่ตนเองสนใจ
