ชาวนาคนหนึ่งทำนามาเนิ่นนาน แต่ก็ยังมีฐานะยากจนเหมือนเคย ในแต่ละวันเขาได้บูชาศาลเทพเจ้าแห่งหนึ่งเป็นประจำ เพื่อหวังว่า เทพเจ้าจะช่วยทำให้เขาร่ำรวยมากขึ้น

วันหนึ่งที่ชาวนากำลังดำนาอยู่
"ข้ารวยแล้ว ข้ากำลังจะรวยแล้ว" ชาวนาตะโกนออกมาสุดเสียง เมื่อเขาพบเจอหีบสมบัติโบราณที่ฝังอยู่อย่างบังเอิญ

"ขอบคุณท่านมาก ที่มอบสมบัติอันมหาศาลมาให้ข้า" ชาวนายกมือไหว้ พร้อมทั้งนำของมาบูชาศาลเทพเจ้าที่นับถือเหมือนเช่นเคย
