ปัจจุบันเกมออนไลน์ได้เข้ามามีบทบาทหรือเรียกอีกอย่างว่า เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในชีวิตของเด็กหรือผู้ใหญ่หลายๆคน
ทั้งความสนุกสนานความเพลิดเพลินของเกมออนไลน์รวมกับสังคมเล็กๆที่เกิดขึ้นภายใน เกมออนไลน์ทำให้เด็กส่วนใหญ่
ใช้เวลาในการเล่นเกมออนไลน์เป็นเวลานานกว่าที่จะออกไปเล่นกับเพื่อนๆนอกบ้านในโลกของความเป็นจริง
