วันนี้ฉันมีโอกาสได้มาสัมภาษณ์ทหารคนหนึ่งฝ่ายบุคคลของสหรัฐอเมริกา

และแล้ววันหนึ่ง รัฐบาลสหรัฐมีคำสั่งให้เขาได้ไปประจำการที่ประเทศอิรัก ภายหลังจากการที่ตึกเวิร์ดเทรดถล่ม ช่วงเวลา 6 ปีที่แล้ว เขาได้ไปประจำอยู่กลางทะเลทราย แต่เขาก็ไม่ได้ล่วงรู้มาก่อนเลยว่า เพราะอะไรรัฐบาลสหรัฐจึงมีคำสั่งเร่งด่วนให้ทหารหน่วยต่างๆไปประจำการที่นั่น
ต่อมาเมื่อความจริงปรากฎขึ้นสำหรับทหารนั้นแล้วที่มีจิตสำนึกที่ดีก็ได้ตระหนักว่า การมาครั้งนี้เป็นเพียงอุบายของรัฐบาลสหรัฐในการขโมยน้ำมันในประเทศอิรักนั่นเอง ความจริงนี้ก็สร้างความเจ็บปวดให้กับเขามาก เพราะด้วยเหตุผลที่ว่าเขาปฏิเสธคำสั่งไม่ได้ ทั้งยังต้องปฏิบัติหน้าที่ต่อไปแม้มันจะเป็นเรื่องที่ผิดศีลธรรมและความเห็นแก่ตัวของรัฐบาลสหรัฐ ตั้งแต่นั้นเป็นต้นมา เขาก็ได้สวดภาวนาว่า ประธานาธิบดีคนต่อไปจะต้องมีความเห็นอกเห็นใจประเทศอื่นๆ รวมทั้งการออกคำสั่งการปฏิบัติการทางทหารด้วย มิเช่นนั้นก็จะส่งผลกระทบต่อหลายๆประเทศ ภาวนาให้ประธานาธิบดีใช้อำนาจในทางที่ชอบด้วย
