บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปริมาณและประเภทของหนังสือ และการใช้หนังสือรวมทั้งการศึกษาถึงความสัมพันธ์ของการจัดซื้อและการใช้หนังสือที่จัดซื้อเข้าห้องสมุดคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ ในปี พ.ศ.2558
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า มีการจัดซื้อหนังสือภาษาต่างประเทศมากกว่าหนังสือภาษาไทย และเมื่อจำแนกหนังสือตามหมวดหมู่ที่จัดซื้อเข้ามาในห้องสมุดโดยใช้ระบบทศนิยมดิวอี้ ในการจำแนกหมวดหมู่หนังสือทั้งหมด 10 หมวดใหญ่ พบว่า ทั้งหนังสือภาษาต่างประเทศและหนังสือภาษาไทย มีหนังสือหมวด 600 ซึ่งเป็นหมวดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มีจำนวนมากที่สุด และหมวด 400 หมวดศาสนา มีจำนวนน้อยที่สุด เมื่อจำแนกในหมวด 600 ย่อยลงไปอีกก็จะพบว่า หนังสือที่จัดซื้อมามากที่สุด สำหรับหนังสือภาษาต่างประเทศและหนังสือภาษาไทย คือหมวดวิทยาศาสตร์ประยุกต์ Applied science หมวดที่มีการซื้อหนังน้อยที่สุดของภาษาต่างประเทศคือหมวด 500วิทยาศาสตร์ธรรมชาติ และหมวด300 Social science ของภาษาไทย ส่วนในด้านการใช้หนังสือพบว่า ผู้ใช้ใช้หนังสือหมวดวิทยาศาสตร์ธรรมชาติ Natural Science and Mathematice มากที่สุด และใช้หนังสือหมวดศาสนาน้อยที่สุด ในด้านความสัมพันธ์ของการจัดซื้อและการใช้หนังสือด้วยการหาค่าสัมประสิทฺธิ์สัมพันธ์พบว่า การจัดซื้อและการใช้หนังสือมีความสัมพันธ์กันทั้งในหนังสือภาษาต่างประเทศและหนังสือภาษาไทย
