งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) เพื่อหาประสิทธิภาพของการใช้กิจกรรมกลุ่มเพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์วิชาการในหนังสือพิมพ์ภาษาอังกฤษของผู้เรียนชั้นมัธยมปีศึกษาที่ 3 ที่มีประสิทธิภาพตารมเกณฑ์ 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทีบผลสัมฤทธิ์ด้านการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษของผู้เรียนชั้นมัธยมปีศึกษาที่ 3 ระหว่างก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน 3)เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของผู้เรียนที่มีต่อการใช้กิจกรรมกลุ่มเพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษของผู้เรียนชั้นมัธยมปีศึกษาที่ 3 กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมปีศึกษาที่ 3 โรงเรียนวัดโพธิ์ จังหวัดมุกดาหาร สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต 2 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2530 มีนักเรียนทั้งหมดจำนวน 50 คน ได้มาโดยการสุ่มอย่างง่าย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ มี 4 ชนิดประกอบด้วย 1). แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษ 2). แบบทดสอบคำศัพท์วิชาการ 3). แบบตรวจสอบรายการคำศัพท์ 4). แบบทดสอบการแปลความหมายศัพท์ สถิติในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ยร้อยละ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและ t-test
ผลการวิจัยปรากฏผลดังนี้
1. ประสิทธิภาพของการใช้กิจกรรมกลุ่มเพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์
2. ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียนที่ได้จัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้มีผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.1
3. นักเรียนรู้คำศัพท์โดยรวมอยู่ระดับมากและมีระดับความพึงพอใจรายข้ออยู่ในระดับมากถึงมากที่สุด

The results appear in the results.1. the performance of group activities to promote effective vocabulary learning basis.2. achievement of the students there are learning activities achievement after studying classes than before. Statistical significant level of 0.13. the student knows the words included high level and satisfaction level for message list is as much as most.
