ประเภทที่ 2.2 เป็นอัตราเลือก เมื่อใช้แล้วจะกลับไปใช้อัตราประเภทที่ 2.1 ไม่ได้ ทั้งนี้ ผู้ใช้ไฟฟ้าจะต้องชำระค่าเครื่องวัด TOU และหรือค่าใช้จ่ายอื่นตามที่การไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาคกำหนด
เดือนใดมีความต้องการพลังไฟฟ้าตั้งแต่ 30 กิโลวัตต์ขึ้นไป จะจัดเข้าอยู่ในประเภทที่ 3-5 แล้วแต่กรณี
