เป็นของคนไทยทุกคน โปรดช่วยกันรักษาไว้ให้ลูกหลานของเรา



ข้อมูลทั่วไป

วนอุทยานห้วยก้างปลา ตั้งอยู่บริเวณตำบลป่าตึง อำเภอแม่จัน จังหวัดเชียงราย อยู่ในเขตพื้นที่ป่าสงวนแห่งชาติดอยบ่อ มีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 5,000 ไร่

กรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัตว์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช พิจารณาเห็นว่า พื้นที่ดังกล่าวมีลักษณะโดดเด่นทางธรรมชาติที่สวยงาม เพื่อเป็นการสงวนคุ้มครองพื้นที่ให้คงอยู่ตลอดไป เพื่อประโยชน์เป็นแหล่งศึกษาวิจัยค้นคว้า และเป็นสถานที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจของประชาชน และเพื่อรักษาสมดุลของระบบนิเวศและสิ่งแวดล้อม ตลอดจนความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ สำหรับเป็นแหล่งต้นน้ำลำธารและสำหรับอยู่อาศัยของสัตว์ป่า แหล่งอาหาร แหล่งนันทนาการ และการท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติของประชาชน จึงได้นำเรื่องเรียนปลัดกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อนำเรียนรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม (นายยงยุทธ ติยะไพรัช) ให้ความเห็นชอบในหลักการ เมื่อวันที่ 28 สิงหาคม 2549 และได้ประกาศจัดตั้งเป็นวนอุทยานน้ำตกห้วยก้างปลา ตามประกาศกรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัตว์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช ที่ 1509/2549 ลงวันที่ 29 กันยายน 2549



ลักษณะภูมิประเทศ 

ลักษณะทั่วไปเป็นเทือกเขาสูงชัน ทอดตัวยาวแนวเหนือ-ใต้ พื้นที่ลาดเอียงไปทางทิศเหนือ มีความลาดชัน

ระหว่าง 20-60 เปอร์เซ็นต์ สูงจากระดับน้ำทะเลปานกลางระหว่าง 600-1050 เมตร

ลักษณะภูมิอากาศ

สภาพอากาศเป็นแบบมรสุมเขตร้อน อุณหภูมิเฉลี่ยต่ำสุดอยู่ที่ 7.5 องศาเซลเซียส อุณหภูมิสูงสุดเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ 37.7 องศาเซลเซียส มีปริมาณน้ำฝนเฉลี่ยรายปีเท่ากับ 1985 มิลลิเมตร ช่วงฤดูร้อนจะอยู่ระหว่างเดือนมีนาคม-เมษายน ช่วงฤดูฝนอยู่ระหว่างเดือนพฤษภาคม-ตุลาคม และช่วงฤดูหนาวอยู่ระหว่างเดือนพฤศจิกายน-กุมภาพันธ์

พืชพรรณและสัตว์ป่า

ลักษณะพืชพรรณเป็นป่าเบญจพรรณ โดยมีไผ่เป็นไม้พื้นล่าง นอกจากนี้ยังมีแปลงปลูกไม้สน และไม้สักอีกด้วย ชนิดพันธุ์สัตว์ป่า ได้แก่ หมูป่า นิ่ม เหยี่ยว เป็นต้น
