ปราสาทเมืองสิงห์ ได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นโบราณสถานแห่งชาติตั้งแต่วันที่ 8 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2478 ได้รับการบูรณะซ่อมแซมจนสามารถเปิดให้เข้าชมอย่างเป็นทางการได้ในวันที่ 3 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2530
