งานเทศกาลหิมะซัปโปโร （札幌雪まつり, Sapporo Yuki-matsuri） หรือในชื่อภาษาอังกฤษว่า Sapporo Snow Festival เป็นเทศกาลหิมะที่มีชื่อเสียงของเมืองซัปโปโร (札幌, Sapporo มาจากภาษาไอนุ หมายถึง แม่น้ำสำคัญไหลผ่านที่ลุ่ม) เป็นเมืองหลวงของเขตฮอกไกโด (北海道, Hokkaido มาจากภาษาไอนุ หมายถึง เส้นทางสู่ทะเลเหนือ) เป็นเทศกาลหิมะที่มีชื่อเสียงของเมืองซัปโปโร ซึ่งจัดขึ้นประมาณต้นเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ของทุก ๆ ปีบนพื้นที่จัดงาน 3 ส่วนคือ สวนสาธารณะโอโดริย่านการค้าซูซูกิโน และซัปโปโรคอมมูนิตี้โดม (สึโดมุ)

เทศกาลหิมะของเมืองซัปโปโรเริ่มขึ้นเมื่อราว ปี ค.ศ. 1950 โดยความร่วมมือของสมาคมส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวซัปโปโรและเขตซัปโปโร ในเทศกาลหิมะครั้งแรกนี้ เพราะไม่มีใครเคยสร้างรูปปั้นหิมะมาก่อนคณะกรรมการจัดงานจึงต้องขอร้องให้นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมปลายในเมืองซัปโปโรร่วมกันก่อรูปปั้นหิมะขึ้น จนได้รูปปั้นจำนวน 6 ชิ้นในบริเวณลานในสวนสาธารณะโอโดริซึ่งเดิมใช้เป็นที่ทิ้งหิมะ รูปปั้นหิมะรุ่นแรก ๆ นั้นมีความสูงอย่างมากเพียง 7 เมตรเท่านั้น แต่ในงานครั้งที่ 4 ในปี ค.ศ. 1953 มีการสร้างรูปปั้นที่มีขนาดสูงถึง 15 เมตร ซึ่งต้องใช้หิมะจำนวนมาก จึงต้องใช้รถบรรทุกและรถดันดินมาช่วยในการสร้าง และนับเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการสร้างรูปปั้นหิมะขนาดใหญ่อย่างในปัจจุบัน

ที่งานเทศกาลหิมะนี้ นอกจากจะมีผลงานการแกะสลักหิมะหรือน้ำแข็งของชาวญี่ปุ่น ที่มีตั้งแต่ขนาดปานกลางจนถึงขนาดใหญ่ที่สูงเป็นสิบเมตรแล้ว ก็จะมีผลงานการแกะสลักหิมะประกวดในระดับนานาชาติอีกด้วย เมืองไทยเองก็ได้เข้าร่วมการประกวดแกะสลักหิมะด้วยด้วย และเคยได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศมาแล้วหลายครั้งด้วยกัน ตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1955 และจัดเรื่อยมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
