วัดพระยาออก ตั้งอยู่ในโรงเรียนพิบูลวิทยาลัย ตำบลทะเลชุบศร อำเภอเมืองลพบุรี จังหวัดลพบุรี ปัจจุบันสำรวจยังคงพบ พระประธานองค์ใหญ่ปูนปั้น 1 องค์ ฐานพระอุโบสถทำด้วยศิลาแลง 1 ฐาน และผนังก่ออิฐถือปูน 1 ด้าน วัดพระยาออกเป็นโบราณสถานที่ยังไม่ปรากฏหลักฐานเมื่อแรกสร้างที่ชัดเจนนัก โดยจากการพบประธานปูนปั้นขนาดใหญ่ ศิลปะอยุธยา ประดิษฐานอยู่ภายในวิหารวัดพระยาออก ศาสนสถานแห่งนี้จึงได้รับการสันนิษฐานว่า อาจสร้างขึ้นช่วงใดช่วงหนึ่งในสมัยอยุธยา หรือเมื่อราวพุทธศตวรรษที่ 23 ที่ผ่านมา

วัดพระยาออก เป็นโบราณสถานที่ตั้งอยู่ภายในโรงเรียนพิบูลวิทยาลัย ไม่ไกลจากแนวคูเมืองและกำแพงเมืองชั้นที่ 1 ซึ่งสร้างขึ้นในสมัยสมเด็จพระนารายณ์มหาราช สำหรับประวัติการก่อสร้างศาสนาสถานหลังนี้นั้นยังไม่ปรากฏอย่างชัดเจน แต่จากหลักฐานที่กรมศิลปากรได้พบจากการสำรวจเมื่อปีพ.ศ.2543 อันได้แก่ พระพุทธรูปปูนปั้นขนาดใหญ่ศิลปะแบบอยุธยา พระพุทธรูปองค์นี้มีชื่อที่ชาวบ้านทั่วไปเรียกว่า หลวงพ่อขาว โดยด้านหลังของหลวงพ่อขาวมีผนังก่ออิฐถือปูนติดอยู่ ทั้งหมดตั้งประดิษฐานบนฐานศิลาแลง และยังพบชิ้นส่วนพระพุทธรูปหินทรายสมัยลพบุรีสภาพชำรุดไม่สมบูรณ์ จำนวน 11 ชิ้น ดังนั้นจากรูปแบบทางศิลปะของพระพุทธรูปปูนปั้นหลังติดผนังโบสถ์ที่พบซึ่งเป็นหลักฐานขนาดใหญ่จึงไม่น่าจะถูกเคลื่อนย้ายได้โดยง่าย ต่างจากชิ้นส่วนพระพุทธรูปหินทรายขนาดเล็กที่พบกระจัดกระจายอยู่บนผืนดินทั่วบริเวณโบราณสถาน ดังนั้นจึงน่าจะสามารถกำหนดค่าอายุของวัดพระยาออกได้ว่าอาจสร้างขึ้นในสมัยอยุธยานั่นเอง

อย่างไรก็ดีทางโรงเรียนได้จัดทำวิหารโถงจตุรมุขคลุมทับเหนือพระประธาน ผนังปูนและฐานศิลาแลงตั้งแต่ในปี พ.ศ.2516 โดยมีสมเด็จพระอริยวงศาคตญาณ (ปุ่น ปุณณสิริ) สมเด็จพระสังฆราชองค์ที่ 17 แห่งกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ เสด็จมาทรงวางศิลาฤกษ์
