พิธีกรรมของประเพณีสารทเดือนสิบ มีดังนี้
๑. การจัดหฺมฺรับ

๓. การฉลองหฺมฺรับและบังสุกุล
เมื่อนำหมฺรับไปวัดแล้ว จะมีการฉลองหฺมฺรับ และทำบุญเลี้ยงพระเสร็จแล้วจึงมีการบังสุกุล การทำบุญวันนี้เป็นการส่งบรรพบุรุษและญาติพี่น้องให้กลับไปยังเมืองนรก
๔. การตั้งเปรต
