งานวิจัยศึกษาเกี่ยวกับกระบวนการย่อยสลายข้าวโพดอาหารสัตว์ชนิดตกเกรด ด้วยอัลฟาอะไมเลส เกรดทางการค้า ต่อปริมาณน้ำตาลรีดิวซ์ และกากของข้าวโพดอาหารสัตว์ชนิดตกเกรด ที่สภาวะการย่อยสลาย ต่างๆ มีการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับผลของปริมาณของแอลฟาอะไมเลส อุณหภูมิที่ใช้ในการย่อยสลาย และเวลาที่ใช้ในการย่อยสลาย ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่ส่งผลต่อการย่อยสลาย โดยผลที่ได้จากการศึกษามีการใช้เทคนิคในการวิเคราะห์ 3 เทคนิค คือ การวิเคราะห์ด้วยเทคนิคสเปกโตรโฟโตเมตริก (Spectrophotometric Method) เพื่อตรวจสอบปริมาณน้ำตาลรีดิวซ์ ,การวิเคราะห์น้ำหนักที่หายไป(Weight Loss Method) เพื่อดูปริมาณการหายไปของข้าวโพดอาหารสัตว์ชนิดตกเกรดหลังการย่อยสลาย และ การวิเคราะห์ด้วยเทคนิคการเลี้ยวเบนของรังสีเอกซ์ (X-ray Diffraction Analysis,XRD) เพื่อดูแนวโน้มความเป็นผลึกสูงสุดของการย่อยสลาย ข้าวโพดอาหารสัตว์ชนิดตกเกรด
