กวีคือ สิ่งที่ผู้เขียนต้องการสื่อสารออกมาในงานการเขียนที่แสดงถึง ข้อเท็จจริงหรือความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับเรื่องที่ตนเขียนให้แก่ผู้อ่าน ได้อ่าน โดยเนื้อหาแต่งจากเรื่องจริง ไม่ใช่เรื่องแต่งหรือคิดขึ้นเองจากจินตนาการ
