ผู้วิจัยได้นำแผนการบำรุงรักษาเครื่องจักรดังกล่าวไปใช้ในโรงงานกรณีศึกษา ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 สิงหาคม – วันที่ 30 กันยายน 2556 โดยทำการตรวจสภาพและบำรุงรักษาตามแผนที่วางไว้ พบว่า จำนวนครั้งหรือความถี่การชำรุดของเครื่องจักรลดลง เป็นศูนย์ อัตราความพร้อมการเดินเครื่องเป็น 100 % เนื่องจากเครื่องจักรไม่มีการชำรุดแบบกะทันหัน

หลังจากนั้นในเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2556 เป็นต้นไป ผู้วิจัยได้ถ่ายทอดระบบการบำรุงรักษาเครื่องจักรดังกล่าวให้โรงงานกรณีศึกษานำไปดำเนินการด้วยตนเอง แล้วทำการเก็บผลการดำเนินงานเป็นระยะเวลา 4 เดือน คือเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2556 – เดือนมกราคม 2557 เพื่อนำค่ามาเปรียบเทียบกับก่อนใช้ระบบการบำรุงรักษา พบว่ามีจำนวนครั้งหรือความถี่การชำรุดของเครื่องจักรเท่ากับ 2 ครั้ง อัตราการเดินเครื่องเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 99.89 % คือ เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดิม 0.89 % มีค่าเวลาเฉลี่ยระหว่างความเสียหายของเครื่องจักรเท่ากับ นาที ทำให้เกิดค่าใช้จ่ายจากการขัดข้องของเครื่องจักรเท่ากับ 26,345+X บาท ซึ่งมาจากการสำรองอะไหล่แบบปลอดภัยที่สุด และค่าจ้างแรงงานล่วงเวลา ทั้งนี้การชำรุดแบบกะทันหันหลังการดำเนินโครงการที่เกิดขึ้นมาจากการบำรุงรักษาเครื่องจักรเชิงป้องกันที่ไม่สมบูรณ์ คือ ไม่มีการตรวจสภาพเครื่องจักรตามมาตรฐานที่วางไว้ อีกทั้งโรงงานกรณีศึกษายังขาดบุคลากรที่รับผิดชอบระบบโดยตรง

การนำระบบการบำรุงรักษาเครื่องจักรเชิงป้องกันไปใช้จะต้องมีการปฏิบัติตามแผน และมาตรฐานที่วางไว้ในโปรแกรม Microsoft Excel อย่างเคร่งครัด จึงจะสามารถลดการขัดข้องของเครื่องจักรให้เป็นศูนย์ได้ ทั้งนี้ต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากบุคลากรในโรงงาน ที่ต้องให้ความสำคัญกับการตรวจสภาพ และการบันทึกประวัติเครื่องจักร
