Ppl need a KMS key to activate, which is not leaked yet and worse, even if you have a KMS key, you WONT be available to activate cause the KMS (legit) servers are NOT upgrated. And this, 8.1 uses the protocol v6, which means that the "standalone" kms activator (like kmspico) it WONT work, because its a different protocol with a different key. So, RELAX, and wait like october, at least. :)

Continue to install like normal and when asked for a serial enter one of the following (DO NOT ENTER YOUR OWN)

Step 6: When you reach the desktop you will notice you are not activated this is fine! Right click the start button and choose "Command Prompt (admin)"
Step 7: Enter slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (Replace the Green X's with your RETAIL Windows 8 key)

Step 8: Restart PC once the box comes up saying "success"
Step 9: If when you restart you are not activated right click the start menu and choose "command prompt (admin)"
Step 10: Pull out network / router cable / disconnect from WIFI
