3.สภาแห่งชาติชุดใหม่ได้เปิดประชุมเมื่อ 19 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2545 โดยสภาได้มีมติสำคัญๆ คือ

1.) รับรองผลการเลือกตั้งเมื่อ 19 พฤษภาคม

2.) เลือกตั้งคณะกรรมการต่าง ๆ ประจำสภา
