การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อที่จะศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างลักษณะทางธรณีวิทยาและลักษณะทางอุทกธรณีวิทยาของแหล่งน้ำพุร้อนห้วยน้ำนัก ตำบลพบพระ จังหวัดตาก โครงการศึกษาวิจัยนี้ได้แบ่งการดำเนินงานออกเป็น 4 ส่วนหลัก คือ (1) การศึกษาและรวบรวมข้อมูลพื้นฐาน (2) การสำรวจภาคสนาม ได้แก่ การศึกษาลักษณะธรณีวิทยาของพื้นที่ และการเก็บตัวอย่างน้ำใต้ดิน (3) การวิเคราะห์ทดสอบทางห้องปฏิบัติการ ตัวอย่างน้ำใต้ดินทั้งหมด 16 ตัวอย่างที่เก็บมาจากภาคสนามจะถูกนำมาวิเคราะห์คุณสมบัติทางกายภาพและทางเคมี เพื่อศึกษาคุณภาพของน้ำบาดาลในพื้นที่ (4) สรุปผลการศึกษาวิจัย
