A description of crystal agglomeration cannot be formulated based merely on size distribution. The agglomerate structure has to be characterized by other variables such as shape factor, porosity, or agglomeration degree. For the measurement of agglomeration degree, some parameters, such as total number of crystals, number of large crystals greater than some arbitrary size, and mass-weighted average size were often utilized to quantify the degree of agglomeration.
