   จังหวัดตราด มีแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญ ได้แก่ แหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางด้านประวัติศาสตร์และศาสนสถาน แหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางวัฒนธรรมและหัตถกรรมและแหล่งท่องเที่ยวตามธรรมชาติ
1. แหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางด้านประวัติศาสตร์และศาสนสถาน  ได้แก่ 
    1.1 อำเภอเมืองตราด   ได้แก่

วัดโยธานิมิตร หรืออีกชื่อหนึ่งว่า วัดโบสถ์ ตั้งยู่ถนนเทศบาล ๔ ตรงสามแยกใกล้ศาลหลักเมืองตราดเป็นวัดหลวงเพียงแห่งเดียว  สร้างในสมัยสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช เป็นที่ประดิษฐานศาลสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินฯ เป็นสถานที่ทำพิธีถือน้ำพระพิพัฒน์     สัตยา

พิพิธภัณฑสถานเมืองตราด จังหวัดตราด จัดตั้งขึ้นโดยสำนักพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ กรมศิลปากรกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม เพื่อเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ประวัติศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรม และวิถีชีวิตเมืองตราด และพิพิธภัณฑสถานประจำเมือง โดยใช้อาคารศาลากลางจังหวัดหลังเดิม ตั้งอยู่ที่ถนนสันติสุข อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดตราด  มีพื้นที่ใช้สอย ๗๙๓ ตารางเมตร ห้องจัดแสดงนิทรรศการถาวร แบ่งออกเป็น ๗ หัวข้อ อาทิ ตลาดเมืองตราด การค้าในตลาดเก่าและสภาพปัจจุบันของตลาด, เหตุการณ์สำคัญในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๕ และผู้คนเมืองตราด จัดแสดงกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ เป็นต้น หากมีโอกาสเดินทางไปเที่ยวสามารถแวะชมพิพิธภัณฑสถานเมืองตราด เปิดให้เข้าชม  ตั้งแต่ เวลา ๐๙.๐๐ – ๑๖.๐๐ น. ทุกวัน หยุดทำการวันจันทร์
