การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อเป็นแนวทางพัฒนาคุณภาพของแท็กซี่ไทยและการแก้ไขปัญหาจำนวนรถแท็กซี่ที่เพิ่มปริมาณขึ้นในทุกๆปี เนื่องมาจากเปิดให้มีโครงการแท็กซี่เสรีขึ้น ซึ่งเป็นสาเหตุหนึ่งของการทำให้เกิดจำนวนรถบนท้องถนนเพิ่มมากขึ้นทำให้เกิดการจราจรติดขัด
