สุนัข ชื่อจุ๋น เพศเมีย พันธุ์ไทย อายุ 8 ปี น้ำหนัก 17.25 กิโลกรัม จากการตรวจร่างกายเบื้องต้น พบว่า สุนัขมีอาการซึมเล็กน้อย พบหนองไหลออกมาจากช่องคลอด เมื่อทำการตรวจคลำช่องท้องพบอาการปวดเกร็งช่องท้อง ผลการตรวจวินิจฉัยทางห้องปฏิบัติการ พบภาวะ Leukocytosis, Neutrophilia, Lymphocytosis, Monocytosis, Decrease ALT และตรวจไม่พบพยาธิเม็ดเลือด จากการวินิจฉัยพบว่าสัตว์มีภาวะมดลูกอักเสบแบบมีหนอง (Pyometra) สัตวแพทย์ทำการรักษาโดยการผ่าตัดแก้ไขโดยวิธีการตัดรังไข่และมดลูกออก (Ovariohysterectomy) ภายหลังการผ่าตัดสัตว์มีการตอบสนองต่อการรักษาที่ดี
