โครงการ “Embassy Adoption Program”
สอท. ร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานบริหารการศึกษาโรงเรียนรัฐบาลกรุงวอชิงตัน (DC Public Schools) และสถาบัน Washington Performing Arts Society ในโครงการ “Embassy Adoption Program” ซึ่งดำเนินการมาแล้วเป็นเวลา 40 ปี โดยโครงการดังกล่าวจะจับคู่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตต่าง ๆ กับนักเรียน ชั้น ป.๕ - ป.๖ ของโรงเรียนรัฐบาลในสังกัดกรุงวอชิงตัน เพื่อเป็นโอกาสให้นักเรียนได้เรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมของ ประเทศต่างๆ และเป็นโอกาสที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตของประเทศต่างๆ ที่เข้าร่วมจะเข้าถึงชุมชนท้องถิ่นใน กรุงวอชิงตัน และเผยแพร่ความรู้เกี่ยวกับประเทศของตนแก่นักเรียนชาวอเมริกัน ทั้งนี้ สถานเอกอัคราชทูต และโรงเรียนที่ได้รับการจับคู่ร่วมกันจะแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนระหว่างกันและทำกิจกรรมร่วมกันตลอดปีการศึกษา
