อันดับแรกให้ผู้สมัครเข้าสู่ระบบรับสมัคร ทาง https://www3.reg.cmu.ac.th/ugradapply โดยผู้สมัครจะต้องลงทะเบียนผู้ใช้ใหม่ หลังจากที่ผู้สมัครสร้างบัญชีผู้ใช้ใหม่เรียบร้อยแล้ว ให้ผู้สมัครล็อกอินเข้าสู่ระบบ จากนั้นให้คลิกที่เมนู “คลิกเพื่อสมัคร โควตาภาคเหนือ”
ขั้นตอนที่ ๑
- กรอกข้อมูลกลุ่มคณะ/สาขาวิชา ที่ประสงค์จะเลือกสมัครสอบ
- กรอกข้อมูลช่วงระยะเวลาการพักอาศัยอยู่ในจังหวัด ตามสําเนาทะเบียนบ้าน

ขั้นตอนที่ ๓ เลือกคณะ/สาขา ของมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐและเอกชน โดย ๑ มหาวิทยาลัยสามารถเลือกคณะ/สาขาวิชา ได้ไม่เกิน ๒ อันดับ (ค่าสมัครมหาวิทยาลัยละ ๑๐๐ บาท) โดยผู้สมัครจะเลือกมหาวิทยาลัยเอกชนหรือไม่เลือกก็ได้ กรณีที่เลือก มีขั้นตอนดังนี้ เลือกอันดับการเลือก, เลือกมหาวิทยาลัย, เลือกคณะ/สาขาวิชา, บันทึกข้อมูลตามลำดับ หากต้องการยกเลิกอันดับการเลือกที่เลือกแล้วให้คลิกที่คําว่า “ยกเลิก”
