งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งการวิจัยและพัฒนา Chonhook Silk Machine สำหรับวิสาหกิจชุมชนและ Kheun-fum Silk Machine เพื่อให้เหมาะสมกับสภาพการผลิตของวิสาหกิจชุมชนผ้าไหม โดยมีขอบเขตการวิจัย ดังนี้ 1) การศึกษานี้ใช้ข้อมูลพื้นฐานจากกลุ่มวิสาหกิจชุมชนผ้าไหมในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือตอนล่าง ได้แก่ จังหวัดนครราชสีมา และสุรินทร์ เป็นข้อมูลสำหรับศึกษา 2) ผู้ดำเนินโครงการกำหนดเป้าหมายให้การวิจัยและพัฒนาChonhook Silk Machine สำหรับวิสาหกิจชุมชน ใช้เวลาลดลงจากเดิม 30% และ กำหนดเป้าหมายให้Kheun-fum Silk Machine สำหรับกระบวนการทอผ้าสามารถลดเวลาการขึ้นฟืมเส้นไหมลดลงจากเดิม 50% เป็นดัชนีชี้วัดผลสำเร็จ
