ธงชาติสาธารณรัฐแห่งสหภาพพม่า[2] มีลักษณะเป็นธงสามสีรูปสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้า ภายในแบ่งตามแนวนอน ความกว้างเท่ากัน พื้นสีเหลือง สีเขียว และสีแดง เรียงตามลำดับจากบนลงล่าง กลางธงมีรูปดาวห้าแฉกสีขาวขนาดใหญ่
