งานวิจัยเรื่อง การพัฒนาระบบควบคุมแขนกลขนาดเล็กด้วยสมาร์ทโฟนระบบปฏิบัติการแอนดรอยด์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาหลักการทำงานของแขนกลที่ใช้ในโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม และออกแบบแขนกลขนาดเล็กสำหรับใช้ในการหยิบจับวัตถุ โดยใช้ระบบควบคุมตำแหน่งการหมุนของเซอร์โวมอเตอร์ที่มีไมโครคอนโทรลเลอร์เป็นหน่วยประมวลผล ผ่านการรับสัญญาณแบบไร้สายมาตรฐานบลูทูธด้วยแอพพลิเคชั่นในสมาร์ทโฟนระบบปฏิบัติการแอนดรอยด์ การทำงานของระบบเริ่มจากการเชื่อมต่อระบบควบคุมแขนกลกับแอพพลิเคชั่นผ่านทางช่องสัญญาณบลูทูธจากนั้นเรียกใช้งานแอพพลิเคชั่นและทำการกดปุ่มคำสั่งที่ต้องการ คำสั่งดังกล่าวจะถูกส่งไปยังระบบควบคุมที่มีไมโครคอนโทรลเลอร์ประมวลผลคำสั่งเพื่อควบคุมให้เซอร์โวมอเตอร์ที่ใช้เป็นข้อต่อของแขนกลหมุนไปด้วยค่ามุมต่างๆตามคำสั่งที่ได้รับ จากการทดลองพบว่าผู้ใช้สามารถใช้งานแอพพลิเคชั่นในระบบปฏิบัติการแอนดรอยด์ควบคุมให้แขนกลหยิบจับวัตถุในตำแหน่งต่างๆแล้วไปวางในตำแหน่งที่กำหนดไว้ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยมีระยะห่างที่ไกลที่สุดของการส่งสัญญาณในการควบคุมแขนกลประมาณ 12 เมตร
