การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา สภาพปัจจุบันการติดตั้งการขยายโครงข่ายและการให้บริการโครงข่ายโทรทัศน์ภาคพื้นดินในระบบดิจิตอลของกองทัพบก และแนวทางการพัฒนาการให้บริการโครงข่ายโทรทัศน์ภาคพื้นดินในระบบดิจิตอลของกองทัพบก ผู้วิจัยใช้การวิจัยเชิงผสมผสาน โดยการใช้แบบสอบถาม และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ผู้บริหาร และเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายโครงข่ายโทรทัศน์ระบบดิจิตอล สถานีวิทยุโทรทัศน์ รวมทั้งการวิเคราะห์ เอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้อง มาสรุปในรูปแบบพรรณนา
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การขยายโครงข่ายมีความสัมพันธ์กับแนวทางการพัฒนาที่ระดับเกณฑ์การวิเคราะห์ที่กำหนดไว้ และสภาพการให้บริการโครงข่ายในปัจจุบันทั้ง 4 ด้านมีความสัมพันธ์กับแนวทางการพัฒนาการให้บริการในเชิงบวก โดยสภาพการให้บริการโครงข่ายในปัจจุบันทั้ง 4 ด้านประกอบด้วย ด้านการติดตั้ง คือความทันสมัยของเครื่องมือที่เกี่ยวข้องในระบบโครงข่ายโทรทัศน์,ด้านการขยายโครงข่าย คือสามารถดำเนินการเป็นไปตามแผนของ กสทช.ที่กำหนดคือสถานีหลักจำนวน 39 สถานี สถานีเสริมจำนวน 45 สถานี, ด้านการให้บริการคือ ความเหมาะสมจำนวนช่องรายการที่ให้บริการของโครงข่ายที่ 2 มีจำนวน 6 ช่องรายการและด้านคุณภาพและความต่อเนื่องการให้บริการได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการมีแผนสำรองและความต่อเนื่องการให้บริการ มากที่สุด
สำหรับแนวทางการพัฒนาการให้บริการโครงข่ายโทรทัศน์ภาคพื้นดินในระบบดิจิตอลของกองทัพบก จะต้องปรับปรุง การให้บริการด้าน การปรับปรุงซอฟแวร์ให้เป็น ปัจจุบัน (System Software Update) และมีความเหมาะสม และการดำเนินการออกอากาศข้อมูลผังรายการอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (EPG) พร้อมกันทุกๆช่องรายการของโครงข่ายกองทัพบก การออกอากาศของช่องรายการบนโครงข่ายของกองทัพบก มีข้อมูลของรายการปัจจุบันและข้อมูลรายการต่อไป ทุกช่องรายการสามารถดูได้ทุกช่องรายการ
