ปางไสยาสน์ หรือบางทีก็เรียก ปางปริน

ต่อมาได้ยินพวกเทวดาสรรเสริญพระพุทธองค์อีก ก็เกิดความอยากไปเฝ้าอีก จึงวันหนึ่งได้ตั้งใจไปเฝ้า พระพุทธเจ้าก็ทรงทราบด้วยญาณ รวมทั้งทราบถึงความในใจของอสุรินทราหู จึงทรงเนรมิตพระวรกายให้ใหญ่โตกว่ากายของอสุริทราหูหลายเท่าขณะเสด็จบรรทมรอรับ ดังนั้น เมื่อมาเข้าเฝ้า แทนที่อสุรินทราหูจะต้องก้มมอง กลับต้องแหงนหน้าดูพระพุทธองค์ จึงเกิดความอัศจรรย์ใจยิ่ง พระพุทธเจ้าจึงได้ตรัสสอนว่า ข่าวลือหรือเรื่องใดๆหากไม่เห็นด้วยตนเอง หรือยังไม่พิจารณาให้ถ่องแท้ ก็ไม่ควรติชมไปก่อน อีกทั้งได้พาอสุรินทราหูไปเที่ยวพรหมโลก ได้เห็นบรรดาพรหมที่มาเฝ้ามีร่างกายใหญ่โตกว่าตนทั้งสิ้น แต่พระพุทธเจ้าก็ยังมีพระวรกายใหญ่กว่าพรหมเหล่านั้นอีก อสุรินทราหูจึงลดทิฐิและหันมาเลื่อมใสในพระบรมศาสดา
