กิติมา (2520 : 29-30) ได้แบ่งความรู้ออกเป็น 4 ระดับ คือ
1.ความรู้ระดับต่ำ ได้แก่ ความรู้ที่เกิดจากการเดา หรือภาพลวงตา
2.ความรู้ระดับธรรมดา ได้แก่ ความรู้ทางประสาทสัมผัสหรือความเชื่อที่สูงกว่า แต่ยังไม่แน่นอนเป็นเพียงขั้นที่อาจเป็นไปได้
