งานวิจัยนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อรณรงค์การลดการทิ้งขยะในพื้นที่ป่าสาธารณะโคกหินลาด เพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบความรู้และทัศนคติต่อการรณรงค์การลดการทิ้งขยะในพื้นที่ป่าสาธารณะโคกหินลาด และเพื่อศึกษาการมีส่วนร่วมหลังการจัดกิจกรรมการรณรงค์การลดการทิ้งขยะในพื้นที่ป่าสาธารณะโคกหินลาด ตำบลหนองปลิง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นชาวบ้านศรีวิลัย จำนวน 30 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ เอกสารประกอบกิจกรรมฝึกอบรม แบบวัดความรู้ แบบวัดทัศนคติ และแบบวัดการมีส่วนร่วมในการรณรงค์การลดการทิ้งขยะในพื้นที่ป่าสาธารณะโคกหินลาด การเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยรูปแบบการการวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง ใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่างเดียวมีการทดสอบก่อนและหลังการรณรงค์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าความเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติเปรียบเทียบ paired t-test ผลการวิจัย พบว่า การจัดกิจกรรมการการรณรงค์การลดการทิ้งขยะในพื้นที่ป่าสาธารณะโคกหินลาด เป็นการจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อรณรงค์ให้ความรู้ ทัศนคติและการมีส่วนร่วม ที่ดีในการลดการทิ้งขยะในพื้นที่ป่าสาธารณะโคกหิน โดยกิจกรรมรวม 2 วัน ก่อนรณรงค์ ชาวบ้านมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยความรู้เกี่ยวกับการลดการทิ้งขยะอยู่ในระดับพอใช้ หลังการรณรงค์ชาวบ้านมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยความรู้อยู่ในระดับดี หลังการรณรงค์ชาวบ้านมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยความรู้สูงกว่าก่อนรณรงค์ ก่อนรณรงค์ ชาวบ้านมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยทัศนคติต่อการลดการทิ้งขยะอยู่ในระดับไม่แน่ใจ หลังการรณรงค์ชาวบ้านมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยทัศนคติอยู่ในระดับเห็นด้วย หลังการรณรงค์ชาวบ้านมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยทัศนคติสูงกว่าก่อนรณรงค์ และหลังการรณรงค์ ชาวบ้านมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยมีส่วนร่วมในการลดการทิ้งขยะในพื้นที่ป่าสาธารณะโคกหินลาด แสดงให้เห็นว่าการรณรงค์การลดการทิ้งขยะในพื้นที่ป่าสาธารณะโคกหินลาด ตำบลหนองปลิง อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม มีผลทำให้ความรู้ของชาวบ้านเพิ่มมากขึ้น
