โครงการนี้เป็นโครงการที่นำ Microcontroller Arduino (Uno R3) มาใช้ในการควบคุมเซ็นเซอร์นับเหรียญ เพื่อสร้างเครื่องนับเหรียญแสดงผลผ่านจอLCD โดยมีหลักการ คือ การประยุกต์ใช้จงจรคูณอัพเข้ามาทำงานร่วมกับเครื่องนับเหรียญให้เข้ากับระบบไมโครคอนโทรลเลอร์และจอ LCD 20x4 การทำงานของเครื่องนับเหรียญแสดงผลผ่านจอLCDนี้ เหรียญแต่ละชนิดจะวิ่งผ่านเซ็นเซอร์ต่างกัน จะควบคุมเซ็นเซอร์โดยการเขียนโปรแกรมบนระบบไมโครคอนโทรลเลอร์ในส่วนของโครงงานนี้จะใช้ไมโครคอนโทรลเลอร์ที่เรียกว่า AVR มาใช้งานและใช้ภาษาซีในการเขียนโปรแกรม และอาจจะเป็นอีกทางเลือกหนึ่งที่ช่วยให้การนับเหรียญให้มีความสะดวกมากขึ้น
