อาเซียน (ASEAN) หรือ สมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (The Association of Southeast Asian Nations) คือ องค์กรเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคม การเมือง วัฒนธรรม และความมั่นคง
อาเซียนก่อตั้งอย่างเป็นทางการที่ประเทศไทยเมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2510 (ค.ศ. 1967) มีสมาชิกแรกก่อตั้ง 5 ประเทศ ได้แก่ ไทย ฟิลิปปินส์ มาเลเซีย อินโดนีเซีย และสิงคโปร์ ปัจจุบันมีสมาชิกทั้งสิ้น 10 ประเทศโดยประเทศสมาชิกใหม่ที่เพิ่งเข้าร่วมได้แก่ บรูไน (7 ม.ค. 2527) เวียดนาม (28 ก.ค. 2538) ลาว พม่า (23 กค 2540) และกัมพูชา (30 เม.ย. 2542)
