โครงงานศึกษาวิจัยนี้เพื่อศึกษาสาเหตุของความล่าช้าในกระบวนการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทางและลดเวลาในกระบวนการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทาง ของบริษัท กรีนบัส ไทยแลนด์ จำกัด โครงงานนี้เริ่มจากการศึกษาวิธีการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทางและวิเคราะห์ปัญหาการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทางโดยแผนภูมิก้างปลาเพื่อหาสาเหตุความล้าช้าทำให้พบปัญหาของการทำความสะอาดรถ ซึ่งเกิดจากวิธีการทำงานที่ไม่เป็นระบบ เช่น การทำงานซ้ำซ้อน ไม่มีการจัดลำดับขั้นตอนการทำงาน ซึ่งทำให้สูญเสียเวลาโดยเปล่าประโยชน์
จากการศึกษาพบว่าการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทางได้แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ส่วนจึงได้ทำการปรับปรุงโดยใช้การศึกษาผังกระบวนการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทาง(Flow Process chart) เพื่อวิเคราะห์หาขั้นตอนโดยละเอียดที่ทำให้เกิดความล่าช้าในการทำความสะอาด หลังจากนั้นได้นำหลักการ ECRS มาใช้เพื่อทำการปรับปรุง โดยสรุปข้อมูลก่อนและหลังการปรับปรุง พบว่าจำนวนการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทางก่อนการปรับปรุงเท่ากับ 78 คัน หลังการปรับปรุงพบว่ามีจำนนการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทาง เท่ากับ 89 คันเพิ่มขึ้น 11 คัน ประสิทธิภาพการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทางก่อนการปรับปรุงเท่ากับ 80.41% หลังการปรับปรุงพบว่ามีประสิทธิภาพการทำความสะอาดรถโดยสารประจำทาง เท่ากับ 91.75%เพิ่มขึ้น 11.34%
