นิทานอีสปเรื่อง สามขุนนาง
คณะขุนนางของเมืองแห่งหนึ่งได้ปรึกษากันถึงเรื่องซ่อมเเซมกำเเพงเมืองเนื่องจากผุกร่อนเสียหายเป็นอันมาก

มีขุนนางอยู่ผู้หนึ่งซึ่งมาจากตระกูลช่างไม้ได้เสนอขึ้นมาว่า

“ใช้ไม้ซุงทำกำเเพง รับรองว่าเเข็งเเรงเเน่นอน”

ขุนนางคนที่สองที่มาจากตระกูลช่างทำหนังก็เสนอขึ้นบ้างว่า

“ท่านต้องใช่หนังสัตว์สิ ทั้งทนทานเเละเเข็งเเรง”

ขุนนางคนที่สามซึ่งมาจากตระกูลช่างก่ออิฐก็เสนอออกมาว่า

“ไม่ซุงกับหนังสัตว์หรือแข็งแรงทนทานสู้อิฐได้”
