วัดชลธาราสิงเห (วัดพิทักษ์แผ่นดินไทย) เป็นวัดเก่าแก่ ตั้งอยู่หมู่ 3 ตำบลเจ๊ะเห อำเภอตากใบ จาก สี่แยกตลาดอำเภอตากใบแยกซ้ายประมาณ 100 เมตร

วัดแห่งนี้ สร้างขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2416 โดยพระครูโอภาสพุทธคุณ (พุฒ) อดีตเจ้าอาวาส ในช่วงปลายรัชสมัย พระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 4 ในสมัยที่ดินแดนตากใบยังเป็นรัฐกลันตัน


วัดแห่งนี้ มีความสำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์ของชาติ เนื่องจากเป็นโบราณสถานที่รัฐบาลใช้เป็นเหตุผลอ้างอิงในการปักปันเขตแดนในปี 2452 ที่มีผลให้ดินแดนแห่งนี้ไม่ต้องผนวกเป็นประเทศมาเลเซีย จึงได้รับสมญานามว่า วัดพิทักษ์แผ่นดินไทย วัดดังกล่าวยังเป็นศูนย์รวมความศรัทธาในพระพุทธศาสนาของชาวไทย ในเขตอำเภอตากใบและใกล้เคียง รวมทั้งชาวมาเลเซีย



ในบริเวณวัดชลธาราสิงเห มีสิ่งก่อสร้างทางพุทธศาสนาศิลปะฝีมือแบบไทยปักษ์ใต้ เป็นจุดเด่น และงดงามหลายชิ้น

ภาพบน ... เป็นโบสถ์เก่าซึ่งสร้างขึ้นในรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว เป็นแบบสถาปัตยกรรมกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ หลังคาเป็นอาคารไม้ทรงไทย ผนังก่ออิฐถือปูน ขนาด 5 ห้อง ภายในมีภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนัง 3 ด้าน (ยกเว้นด้านหลังพระประธาน) รวมถึงภาพบนเสา และเพดาน ซึ่งเขียนโดยฝีมือพระภิกษุชาวสงขลางดงามมาก

ลักษณะจิตรกรรมเป็นสีฝุ่น เขียนสีตัดกันแรงกล้า สภาพยังสมบูรณ์ดี เรื่อที่เขียนเป็นพุทธประวัติและเทพชุมนุม การลำดับภาพพุทธประวัติ เริ่มจากมุมด้านทิศใต้มาทางทิศตะวันออก โดยแบ่งฝาผนังในแนวตั้งเป็น 4 ช่องเสา ในแต่ละช่องเสายังแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ช่วง คือ บน-กลาง-ล่าง ซึ่งแปลกกว่าที่อื่นๆ

ตอนบนสุดเป็นวิทยาธร ต่อมาเป็นเทพชุมนุม 1 ชั้น นั่งประณมหัตถ์ถือดอกไม้ ถัดลงมาเป็นช่องสี่เหลี่ยมซ้อนกัน 2 ชั้น เขียนภาพพุทธประวัติเริ่มตั้งแต่ตอนลาพระนางยโสธราและราหุล แล้วเรียงลำดับเรื่องโดยพิสดาร จนถึงตอนประทับรอยพระพุทธบาท ด้านหน้าพระประธานมีภาพตอนพระพุทธเจ้าเสด็จลงจากดาวดึงส์ เป็นภาพขนาดใหญ่ ผนังด้านล่างเป็นพื้นที่ว่างมีแต่ภาพมณฑปเหนือเศียรพระ เพดานเขียนลายบนพื้นแดง … เสียดายมากที่วันที่เราไปเยือนมีเวลาน้อย เลยไม่มีโฮกาสไปขออนุญาตเข้าไปบันทึกภาพมาฝากกันค่ะ

วัดชลธาราสิงเห มีวิหารพระนอน ซึ่งตามผนังประดับด้วยเครื่องถ้วยสังคโลกที่เก่าแก่ ... แม้ว่าจะดูว่าไม่ปราณีตอลังการ แต่ก็บ่งบอกถึงศิลปะฝีมือช่างพื้นเมือง ที่ควรค่าแก่การศึกษา

กุฎิเจ้าอาวาส : เป็นอาคารไม้ หลังคาซ้อนกัน 3 ชั้น มีมุขทรงไทยยื่นมาข้างหน้า พื้นไม้ยกขึ้นสูงและลดเป็นชั้นๆ มีระเบียงด้านข้างมุขด้านหน้าโล่งไม่มีหลังคา

พื้นลาดซีเมนต์มีประตูทางขึ้นด้านมุขทรงไทย และซุ้มประตูทรงมงกุฎทางขึ้นด้านข้าง ข้างละ 1 ซุ้ม บริเวณด้านบนหน้าต่าง และฝาผนังกั้นห้องประดิษฐ์เป็นรูปทรงมงกุฎโดยรอบ เชิงชายด้านนอกประดับด้วยลายฉลุไม้ลวดลายต่างๆ



หอพระนารายณ์ : เป็นสิ่งก่อสร้างพื้นเมืองของวัดวัดชลธาราสิงเห ลักษณะก่อสร้าง โครงสร้างเป็นฐานสี่เหลี่ยม ก่ออิฐถือปูนเป็นมุขทรงไทยยื่นออกมาด้านหน้า หลังคามุงด้วยกระเบื้องดินเผา 4 ชั้นซ้อนกัน คล้ายกับยอดมงกุฎ ส่วนยอดหลังคาทำเป็นปล่องไฉนประดับด้วยบัวกลุ่มจนถึงปลียอด
