“หากสินค้าเกษตรที่เก็บไว้แล้วมีปัญหาเรื่องของการเสื่อมสภาพ หรือสูญเสีย ก็ต้องมีการตรวจสอบก่อน ซึ่งตรงนี้ทางอคส. อาจมีการฟ้องร้องดำเนินคดีกับผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องด้วย แต่หากเจ้าหนี้สามารถดำเนินการได้ตามข้อตกลงในสัญญาทุกอย่างทางอคส. ก็พร้อมที่จะจ่ายเงินได้ทันที เพราะรัฐบาลได้จัดสรรงบประมาณไว้แล้ว เบื้องต้นตั้งเป้าในการจ่ายหนี้ปีละ 5,000 ล้านบาท หรือ ประมาณ 4 ปี”
พลเอกฉัตรชัย สาริกัลยะ รมว.พาณิชย์ กล่าวเผยภายหลังเป็นประธานการประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการร่วมจัดทำยุทธศาสตร์สินค้าเกษตรเป็นรายพืชเศรษฐกิจ 4 สินค้าว่า ในสัปดาห์หน้าคณะอนุกรรมการฯ จะเสนอให้ที่ประชุมคณะกรรมการร่วมภาครัฐและเอกชน (กรอ.) พิจารณาแผนยุทธศาสตร์สินค้าเกษตร 4 ประเภทประกอบด้วย ข้าวโพดเลี้ยงสัตว์, มันสำปะหลัง, ปาล์มน้ำมัน และอ้อย เพื่อร่วมกันหาแนวทางในการเพิ่มรายได้เกษตรกรโดยการสร้างมูลค่าสินค้าและผลผลิตดังกล่าวให้สูงขึ้น
