ที่มาและความสำคัญ
ในสังคมไทยสมัยโบราณมีวัฒนธรรม ขนบธรรมเนียม ประเพณี ที่ปฏิบัติสืบต่อกันมาจนกลายเป็นวิถีชีวิตที่ทุกคนในสังคมต้องปฏิบัติการดำรงชีวิตเป็นไปอย่างเรียบง่ายไม่ยึดติดกับเทคโนโลยีหรือสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก
สังคมไทยในปัจจุบันได้เปลี่ยนแปลงจากสมัยโบราณอย่างมาก อันเนื่องมาจากมีการพัฒนาวิทยาการด้านต่างๆรวมไปถึงความก้าวหน้าทางเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารหรือโทรศัพท์มือถือที่ขณะนี้ได้เข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญกับการดำรงชีวิตในสังคม ทั้งช่วยให้ติดต่อสื่อสารกันได้อย่างสะดวกและรวดเร็ว รูปลักษณ์ที่สวยงาม และฟังก์ชันที่ให้ความบันเทิงอีกมากมาย จึงทำให้กลายเป็นที่น่าสนใจของคนในสังคมหลายกลุ่ม โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มวัยรุ่น ซึ่งเป็นกลุ่มที่ตกอยู่ในวัตถุนิยม ตามแฟชั่นและรักความสะดวกสบายแต่อย่างไรก็ตามโทรศัพท์มือถือก็มีทั้งประโยชน์และโทษ แม้ว่าโทรศัพท์มือถือจะช่วยให้สะดวกต่อกาติดต่อสื่อสาร แต่หากใช้ไปในทางที่ผิดหรือใช้ผิดที่ผิดเวลา ผิดวัตถุประสงค์ ก็จะก่อให้เกิดผลเสียต่างๆตามมาได้
จากที่กล่าวมาแล้ว ผู้วิจัยจึงสนใจที่จะศึกษาถึงพฤติกรรมการใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือของกลุ่มวัยรุ่น ซึ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ นักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาปีที่4 โรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมศึกษาน้อมเกล้า ซึ่งวัยรุ่นเป็นวัยที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ อารมณ์ สังคมและสติปัญญา เป็นวัยแห่งการเรียนรู้แสวงหาสิ่งใหม่ๆ เพื่อสนองความอยากรู้อยากเห็นของตน
วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย
1. เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4
2. เพื่อสำรวจความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นม.4 เกี่ยวกับการใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือ

Social and emotional learning is intellectual pursuit of new things to satisfy their curiosity.The purpose of the research.1. to study the behavior of using the cell phones of students Grade 4.2. to survey the opinions of senior graders 4 regarding the use of mobile phones.
