งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อหาปริมาณโลหะหนักในดินตะกอนท้องน้ำบริเวณพื้นที่บ่อเลี้ยงปลากระชังในแม่น้ำเลย จังหวัดเลย และโลหะหนักที่ทำการวิเคราะห์คือ สารหนู(As) สังกะสี (Zn) ตะกั่ว (Pb) แคดเมียม (Cd) เหล็ก (Fe) โครเมียม (Cr) และทองแดง (Cu) โดยเก็บตัวอย่างทั้งหมด 4 จุด 12 ตัวอย่าง ระหว่างเดือนกันยายน- พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2558 ทำการวิเคราะห์ด้วยเครื่อง Inductively Couple Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) รุ่น 8000 ปริมาณโลหะหนักเฉลี่ยตั้งแต่เดือนกันยายน-พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2558 มีค่าเท่ากับ As (5.64 mg/kg), Zn (39.01 mg/kg), Pb (1.74 mg/kg), Fe (6839 mg/kg), Cr (6.90 mg/kg), Cu (2.76 mg/kg) และ Cd (0 mg/kg) ของเดือนกันยายน และพบ As (3.69 mg/kg), Zn (20.63 mg/kg), Pb (1.74 mg/kg), Fe (5708.25 mg/kg), Cr (5.49 mg/kg), Cu (8.68 mg/kg) และ Cd (0 mg/kg) ของเดือนตุลาคม และพบ As (2.01 mg/kg), Zn (18.20 mg/kg), Pb (1.49 mg/kg), Fe (3988.50 mg/kg), Cr (4.41 mg/kg), Cu (12.51 mg/kg) และ Cd (0 mg/kg) ของดือนพฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2558
