การวิจัยเรื่อง “ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลบ้านดู่” มีวัตถุประสงค์คือ 1. เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลบ้านดู่2. เพื่อพัฒนาโมเดลความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุของคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลบ้านดู่ และ 3. เพื่อนำผลที่ได้จากโมเดลความสัมพันธ์เชิงสาเหตุไปส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลบ้านดู่ วิธีการดำเนินการวิจัยแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ระยะ ได้แก่ 1.วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพด้วยเทคนิคการสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้าง (Semi-Structured Interview) 2.วิธีการวิเคราะห์โมเดลสมการโครงสร้าง (Structural Equation Model : SEM) ด้วยโปรแกรมลิสเรล และ 3. การพัฒนากิจกรรมที่ส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลบ้านดู่ โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยแบบกึ่งทดลอง One group pretest-posttest design ซึ่งผลการวิจัยมีดังนี้
