ในการศึกษาค้นคว้าเรื่องการควบคุมภายในวิสาหกิจขนาดกลางและขนาดย่อม กรณีศึกษากลุ่มธุรกิจสิ่งทอและแฟชั่น จากการศึกษาในครั้งนี้ กรณีศึกษากลุ่มตัวอย่างร้านเสื้อผ้าสตรีจำนวน 40 ร้าน และเสื้อผ้าสุภาพบุรุษ 30 ร้าน เป็นการสุ่มโดยวิธีการศึกษาแบบโควต้า ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการบริหารงานตรวจสอบภายในที่มีผลต่อประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานของกิจการ เพื่อศึกษาโครงสร้างและการแบ่งแยกหน้าที่งานตรวจสอบภายในที่มีผลต่อประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานของกิจการ และเพื่อศึกษาลักษณะงานตรวจสอบภายที่มีผลต่อประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงานของกิจการโดยผู้ศึกษาได้ดำเนินการโดยรวบรวมแบบประเมินจากการทำแบบสอบถามของกิจการร้านค้าเสื้อผ้าและสิ่งทอย่านประตูน้ำ นำข้อมูลที่ได้รับมาวิเคราะห์จากการศึกษาสามารถสรุปผลได้ดังนี้
