สัจนิรันดร์ หมายถึง ประพจน์ที่มีค่าความจริงเป็นจริงทุกกรณี (ไม่มีกรณีที่เป็นเท็จแม้แต่กรณีเดียว)
ซึ่งเรามีวิธีการตรวจสอบความเป็นสัจนิรันดร์ของประพจน์ด้วยวิธีการต่างๆ 4 วิธี ได้แก่
1. การตรวจสอบโดยใช้ตารางค่าความจริง
2. การตรวจสอบโดยวิธีหาข้อขัดแย้ง
3. การตรวจสอบโดยใช้ความสมเหตุสมผล
