อนุสาวรีย์ของท่านตั้งอยู่ บ้านยาง หมู่ที่ 1 อ.เกษตรสมบูรณ์ จ.ชัยภูมิ 

     ในสมัยกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ ราว ร.ศ. 28 (พ.ศ.  2352)  ในแผ่นดินของพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัย เมืองเกษตรสมบูรณ์ มีเจ้าเมืองปกครองชื่อ  หลวงไกรสิงหนาท ขึ้นตรงต่อกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์           หลวงไกรสิงหนาท เป็นลูกเจ้าเมืองเวียงจันทน์ เข้ามาในประเทศไทยพร้อมกับเจ้าพ่อพระยาแล  หลวงไกรสิงหนาท เป็นผู้มีอำนาจวาสนา ปกครองไพร่ฟ้าข้าแผ่นดินด้วยความร่มเย็นเป็นสุข มีความดีความชอบ และจงรักภักดีต่อพระเจ้ากรุงสยาม  จึงได้เลื่อนชั้นบรรดาศักดิ์เป็นพระไกรสิงหนาท เนื่องจากท่านไม่มีบุตร และธิดา เมื่ออายุมากหากล้มตายลงเกรงว่าบ้านเมืองจะเกิดความวุ่นวาย แย่งชิงอำนาจขึ้นจึงมอบอำนาจให้ นายฦาชา  ซึ่งเป็นหลานชายและรายงานให้กรุงรัตนโกสินทร์รับทราบ  นายฦาชา หลานชายได้รับบรรดาศักดิ์เป็นหลวงไกรสิงหนาท เป็นเจ้าเมืองเกษตรสมบูรณ์ คนที่ 2 ท่านได้ทำความดีความชอบ ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ด้วยความเข้มแข็ง  ซื่อสัตย์สุจริต จึงได้เลื่อนบรรดาศักดิ์เป็น พระไกรสิงหนาทในเวลาต่อมา พระไกรสิงหนาท(ฦาชา)  มีบุตรชาย  3 คน คือ ท้าวบุญมา ท้าวบุญคง  และท้าวบุญจัน  เมื่อชราภาพลงได้รายงานกรุงรัตนโกสินเพื่อมอบอำนาจให้ท้าวบุญมา บุตรชายคนที่ 1 เป็นเจ้าเมืองแทน และได้รับบรรดาศักดิ์เป็นหลวงไกรสิงหนาท (บุญมา)  

       ส่วนพระไกรสิงหนาท(ฦาชา) ได้เลื่อนบรรดาศักดิ์เป็น พระยาภักดีฦาชัยจางวาง  เมื่อ ร.ศ. 115(พ.ศ. 2439)  ในรัชกาลของพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว (ร.5) หลวงไกรสิงหนาท ซี่งได้รับแต่งตั้งเป็นเจ้าเมืองแกล้ว ได้ย้ายเมืองจากกุดเงือก(บ้านยาง) ไปตั้งเมืองที่บ้านโนนเสลา(ปัจจุบันอยู่ในท้องที่อำเภอภูเขียว)  เห็นว่าเหมาะสมและอยู่กึ่งกลางพอดี  เหมาะแก่การปกครอง เพราะอาณาเขตของเมืองเกษตรสมบูรณ์กว้างใหญ่มาก (เขตอำเภอแก้งคร้อ บ้านแท่น ภูเขียว คอนสาร หนองบัวแดง ภักดีชุมพล อยู่ในอำเภอเกษตรสมบูรณ์สมัยนั้น) หลวงไกรสิงหนาทเป็นเจ้าเมือง ท่านไม่ได้เก็บส่วยภาษีจากราษฎร ท่านให้กรมการเมืองนำราษฎรไปขุดร่อนทองคำที่เขาพระยาฝ่อในเขตตำบลนางแดด( อำเภอหนองบัวแดงปัจจุบัน) หลอมเป็นแท่ง ๆ ส่งไปถวายแก่เจ้ากรุงสยามเป็นเครื่องราชบรรณาการทุกปี ด้วยความดีความชอบได้รับเลื่อนบรรดาศักดิ์เป็นพระไกรสิงหนาทคนที่  3
