นักเรียนขาดความเชื่อมั่นในการอ่านออกเสียงและสะกดคำและความถาวรในการจำคำศัพท์ลดลง เพราะเนื่องจากนักเรียนไม่รู้หลักในการเทียบเสียงระหว่างพยัญชนะกับสระภาษาอังกฤษ
