การศึกษาในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำการสำรวจความพึงพอใจของเกษตรกรผู้ผลิตเมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวที่มีต่อเมล็ดพันธุ์ขยายของศูนย์เมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวสุรินทร์กลุ่มประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาในครั้งนี้คือเกษตรกรผู้ผลิตเมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวที่เป็นสมาชิกของศูนย์เมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวของจังหวัดสุรินทร์จำนวน 181 คนทั้งเพศชายและเพศหญิงซึ่งคิดเป็นร้อยละ 30 ของประชากรทั้งหมดการสุ่มตัวอย่างในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้วิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างประชากรด้วยวิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบชั้นภูมิ (Stratified sampling) โดยการแบ่งกลุ่มประชากรออกเป็นสัดส่วนตามหมู่บ้านและทำการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบตามความสะดวก (Convenience Sampling) ในแต่ละชั้นภูมิเพื่อให้ได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างตามที่ได้กำหนดไว้
ผลการศึกษาพบว่าเกษตรกรส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชายอายุเฉลี่ย 50.11 ปี ส่วนใหญ่จบการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา กิจกรรมทางการเกษตรที่ทำในครัวเรือนส่วนใหญ่ปลูกข้าว มีพื้นที่ทำการเกษตรอื่นๆนอกเหนือจากการทำนาเฉลี่ยคนละ 2.70 มีพื้นที่ทำนาเฉลี่ยคนละ 33.84 ไร่ ลักษณะการถือครองที่ดินเป็นของตนเองทั้งหมด รายได้เฉลี่ยจากการทำนา 172,628.73 บาทต่อปี รูปแบบการจัดทำแปลงส่วนใหญ่เป็นนาหว่านข้าวแห้ง ใช้เมล็ดพันธุ์เฉลี่ย 18.54 กิโลกรัม/ไร่ เขตพื้นที่จัดทำแปลงอาศัยน้ำฝน เกษตรกรได้รับข้อมูลข่าวสารจากเจ้าหน้าที่ของศูนย์เมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวสุรินทร์ เกษตรกรมีความพึงพอใจในด้านคุณภาพเมล็ดพันธุ์ขยายของศูนย์เมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวสุรินทร์ โดยมีความบริสุทธิ์ทางสายพันธุ์สูง ราคาจำหน่ายเมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวในขณะนี้เหมาะสม กระสอบบรรจุภัณฑ์โดยจำนวนเมล็ดพันธุ์ต่อกระสอบ 25 กิโลกรัมและมีฉลากแสดงข้อมูลผลิตภัณฑ์ชัดเจน การให้บริการของเจ้าหน้าที่/บุคลากร ความพึงพอใจโดยรวมของเกษตรกรที่มีต่อการใช้เมล็ดพันธุ์ขยายของศูนย์เมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวสุรินทร์อยู่ในระดับมากที่สุดมีค่าคะแนนโดยเฉลี่ย 4.51
