คณะลิเกในจังหวัดพิจิตร ได้มีมาตั้งแต่ครั้งบรรพบุรุษและสืบทอดกันมาหลายชั่วอายุคน ราว พ.ศ. ๒๕๐๐ คณะลิเกที่มีชื่อเสียง ได้แก่ คณะแก้วมณี คณะกำแพงสวรรค์ คณะ ส.พูนสวัสดิ์ คณะ ช.โพธิ์ทอง คณะสีนวล เทียนทอง และคณะแสงธรรม ชาวลิเกจะอยู่กันเป็นกลุ่มแถวสถานีรถไฟอำเภอตะพานหินด้านทิศเหนือ และซอยวัดสันติพลาราม รับแสดงและคิดค่าจ้างต่อคืนประมาณ ๖๐๐ บาท จนถึง ๑,๒๐๐ บาท ในปัจจุบันนี้ค่าจ้างต่อคืนประมาณ ๑๒,๐๐๐ บาท ถึง ๓๐,๐๐๐ บาท
