ประวัติวันตรุษจีน
……วันตรุษจีน หรือ วันขึ้นปีใหม่ของจีน มีความน่าสนใจเป็นอย่างยิ่ง ในวัฒนธรรมอื่นๆ ความปรารถนาสิ่งที่เราหวังว่าจะได้ปรับปรุง หรือที่เราคิดทำเมื่อเริ่มต้นในปีใหม่ มาถึงตอนนี้ถ้าไม่ถูกลืมก็ถูกยัดลงกล่องใส่ตู้ปิดตายและแปะหน้าตู้ว่าไม่แน่ เอาไว้ทำปีหน้าแล้วกันอย่างไรก็ดี ความหวังก็คงยังไม่สูญไปทั้งหมดเพราะโอกาสที่สองกำลังมาถึงแล้ว กับการฉลองวันปีใหม่จีนหรือที่เรารู้จักกันว่าตรุษจีนในวันที่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์นี้ นั้นเอง

ตรุษจีนนั้นคล้ายคลึงกับวันปีใหม่ในประเทศทางตะวันตก ร่องรอยของประเพณี และพิธีกรรมความเป็นมาของการฉลองตรุษจีน นั้นมี มานานกว่าศตวรรษ จริงๆแล้วนานมาก จนไม่สามารถย้อนกลับไปดูว่าเริ่มต้นฉลองมาตั้งแต่เมื่อไร เป็นที่รู้จักและจำได้ทั่วไปว่าเป็น การฉลองเทศกาลฤดูใบไม้ผลิ และการฉลองเป็นเวลานานถึง 15 วัน การเตรียมงานฉลองส่วนใหญ่จะเริ่มหนึ่งเดือนก่อนวันตรุษจีน (คล้ายกับวัน คริสต์มาสของประเทศตะวันตก)

การฉลองวันตรุษจีนสิ้นสุดลงในงานโคมไฟ ซึ่งฉลองโดยการร้องเพลง เต้นรำ และงานแสดงโคมไฟ ถึงแม้ว่าการฉลองวันตรุษจีน จะมีแตกต่างกันออกไป แต่สิ่งที่เหมือนกัน คือ การอวยพร ความสงบ และความสุขให้กับคนในครอบครัวและเพื่อนทุกคน
